Customer Reviews
TapRead offers deeply written and engaging stories that provide a wonderful reading experience, with many users praising the immersive narratives and diverse book selection. However, the app faces significant criticism regarding cost and value. Users appreciate the content quality but find subscription fees unreasonably high and chapters too short or scarce for the price. Some report that weekly subscriptions only grant access to selected books, not the one they started, which feels misleading. A common frustration is that books advertised in external links are often unavailable or missing after installation, leading to disappointment and uninstalls. Additionally, while some users find ads between chapters brief and non-intrusive, others complain about the lack of ad-based unlock options and overpriced weekly subscriptions that do not provide enough coins. There are also reports of AI-generated or inconsistent stories with poor grammar and abrupt resolutions. Overall, readers value the strong narrative quality but are deterred by high costs, deceptive marketing, and limited access to desired titles.
