AI Generated Summary

Based on real user feedback

★ 3.5

Simple Voice Recorder generally delivers good recording quality and is easy to use, with many users praising its simple interface and reliable performance for basic needs. However, several critical issues divide opinions. On privacy, some users appreciate the app's functionality, while others discovered 9 hidden trackers via Exodus and express serious concerns about data collection and excessive permissions. Regarding ads and pricing, many find the app useful and functional, yet a significant number complain about intrusive advertisements (e.g., Temu ads blocking recording end) and a steep subscription model—€15 per week or R$55 per week to remove ads—which they consider unreasonable for a voice recorder. Functionality receives mixed feedback: recordings are suitable even for musicians and work well with external microphones, but some users note that it only captures close voices, has a very slow startup (likely due to connection checks), and locks basic features like saving/sharing behind a paywall. Overall, while the core audio quality meets expectations, privacy, aggressive monetization, and feature restrictions polarize users.

Very good. It records ads well. Sometimes ads interrupt and are too long or short. The app itself is good. 5 stars 💫🤩

Endless advertisements or monthly payments? No thanks, it's not worth the cost.

Overlay is simple but has a very slow startup. It uses many cookies and collects data. The developer ZipoApps is based in Israel (outside EU) and claims GDPR compliance, but uncertain. Users note that €15 per week to remove ads is excessive.

Too expensive; there are much better diesel prices available.

I wanted to record a loud noise made by my neighbor, but it didn't work. The recording only works for voices that are close to the device.
