Customer Reviews
Open Radio was once praised for its vast selection of global stations, clean interface, reliable performance, and useful features like sleep timer, custom URL support, and easy sync. Many longtime users appreciated the ad-free experience and responsive developer support. However, recent updates have introduced excessive ads—especially long video ads—that make the free version nearly unusable. The ad-free subscription costs approximately €14–15 per week (over €700/year), which most users consider absurd. Some still find the app functional and enjoy its extensive catalog, but the majority are frustrated by the aggressive monetization shift, lack of transparency, and the disappearance of the open-source project. Overall, a once-great app now faces strong backlash due to intrusive ads and an unreasonably priced subscription.
